Part 9b
In Part 9a, we heard that the communist movement has brought mankind only war, poverty, brutality and dictatorship. With the collapse of the Soviet and Eastern European Communist Parties, no one believes in the myth of communism anymore. But the Chinese Communist Party is unwilling to leave the stage of history. Instead it continues to use the ruthless methods developed over the decades to keep itself alive.
The current new polices which create the appearance of CCP reform and opening up to modernized advances, is just another disguise to coverup its continued intension for cruel totalitarian rule. Throughout history whenever the CCP encountered crisis, it would demonstrate some traces of improvement, enticing people to develop illusions about the CCP. But, without exception, the illusions were always shattered.
Today, the CCP credits itself for the technological advances and economic development which are really achievements from the hard work of the Chinese people, The CCP claims that such development could not happen without the CCP. The CCP will make use of every single achievement to make its claim to legitimacy more attractive. China’s “great market potential” which is sought after by foreign investors is used by the CCP as a weapon to manipulate Western society into cooperating with CCP rule.
Part 9b: Many people believe that foreign trade with China will improve human rights, freedom of speech and democratic reform within China. But this hope has rung hollow. In the process of investment, foreign capital has not brought the fundamental principles of human rights to the Chinese people. By the end of April 2004, china has seen $990 billion dollars of foreign investment in various contracts. Whether a Western company is awarded a lucrative contract depends on which country will keep quiet on the human rights abuses of the CCP. In fact, many Western corporations have become leading culprits by further exacerbating China’s corruption.
Through their crafty propaganda, the CCP has capitalized on the financial interest of foreign investors by demanding their unconditional cooperation. In this way the CCP has effectively blocked the possibility of political reform and the ordinary people of China still live under the violent oppression of the CCP.
