In Part 3b, we heard how the Cultural Revolution was a calamity unprecedented in Chinese history Conservative estimates place the number of unnatural deaths at 7.73 million. The violence during the cultural revolution was the policy of the CCP and regional governments to turn one group to kill another everyone’s life was in danger. The terror of the Cultural Revolution brought the CCP and Mao Zedong’s “cult of the personality” to climax by compelling people to carry out religious type rituals everyday, establishing communism as the one and only religion dominating the entire country. Not only did the CCP control the state, but the minds of each and every individual was placed into its control.

Part 3c: Utilizing the pronouncements of law, the social institution of education, the vehicle of the media and by implementing policies by coercion, the CCP has been effective in maintaining it’s tyrannical rule. How the CCP controls its people is not limited to the physical torture it inflicts. The Party forces people to lose the ability to think independently.
